I’m Here for Pets is an installation by Allison Lacher and Jeff Robinson. Referencing the variant postures of the domestic dog, the artists consider the interplay between power, surrender, play, affection, and affirmation—forces exploited by both sides in the exchange between humans and their companions.

Allison Lacher and Jeff Robinson are a two-person collaborative. They have presented collaborative projects at Roman Susan (Chicago), Museum Blue (St. Louis), and Kitchen Space (Chicago). Upcoming projects will take place at Ski Club (Milwaukee) and Outhaus (Urbana), and they will be Artists-in-Residence at ACRE this summer. They Co-Direct DEMO Project, an artist-run contemporary project gallery in Springfield, Illinois, work together at the University of Illinois Springfield Visual Arts Gallery where Robinson serves as Gallery Director and Lacher as Gallery Manager.
